An engineer, optimist and passionate about nature, Valentine is convinced that it is innovation that will allow us to find sustainable solutions to today’s climate challenges. In the context of her final thesis, in 2020, Valentine discovered the world of golf and its realities.

Looking at the issue of water and the search for solutions to increase the water autonomy of a golf course, she discovers the relevance of data in golf courses and more generally in the world of sports grounds and green spaces.

New legislation, reduced maintenance margins, climatic uncertainties, the world of green spaces fascinates her and in October 2021, after a year of working very closely with greenkeepers and many lively conversations with members of the maintenance teams, MAYA was born.

5 pilot sites and one year of development later, MAYA is now THE platform that puts innovation at the heart of the grounds and reconciles today’s challenges with tomorrow’s sustainable ambitions.

Bringing with him over two decades of experience in software architecture and development, Jean-Bernard is an accomplished software engineer and valuable addition to Maya’s growing team.

In 2011, he co-founded Proxyclick, a software company, and played a key role in the startup’s growth and success where he led the software engineering team and technology strategy for the company.

Before Proxyclick, Jean-Bernard held key positions such as Integration Manager and Software Engineer at Transwide and Software AG, gaining extensive experience in the IT industry. With a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Namur in Belgium, he has a deep understanding of software development principles and best practices.

Ines brings 18 years of experience in business development, international project management and event organization and production. With a degree in Communication & Public Relations, Ines started her career at the age of 26 by launching her own company in Spain. Always looking for new challenges, over the years Ines learned to speak several languages fluently including French, English and Italian while continuing to work on international projects and build her team. This experience taught her the importance of surrounding herself with the right people, working as a team and using the right tools in managing a business. After 13 successful years, she decided to leave the company she had built and find a new challenge. Eager for new challenges, committed to the planet and environmental issues, she decided to join Maya by aligning her personal interests with her enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. Her mission is now to spread Maya and its benefits in Southern Europe and to bring a digital solution to better manage resources and facilitate the sustainable transition of companies and land managers.
